Alunar M508 DIY 3D Printer

Alunar M508 DIY 3D Printer

Product Review (submitted on October 29, 2017):
I built this in a span of 3 nights after work, the videos were a little tough to follow, but honestly building it was the best thing for me. Afterward everything seemed to work, but power supply crapped out. Replaced with a computer power supply, then no filament extruding, turns out it was turning the wrong way, so reversed plug. x axis was traveling wrong way when autohomed, so reversed connector as well. Finally printing but levels were shifting. Tightened x and Y belts to be very tight. THis thing does print very good, but its not like you just press print and leave. Takes a little TLC until you get comfortable. Almost as good as my Prusa Mk2s, and I use the Alunar more really. Plan on buying a few more. Be careful with the Thermistor cable that goes into the extruder block. It has a tendency to come out on mine so it keeps heating because it never sees the block coming up to temp. Just something to look at before you start heating up the extruder. I plan on purchasing a few more of these. I have the 2014 model BTW not the upgraded one so I cant speak on that one just yet.
